We want our son Antonio to be remembered as a wonderful son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, godson, and friend.
Antonio was so loving, kind, so comical, a true leader, and a great trainer.
Antonio was very competitive and at the same time compassionate.
As a young boy, Antonio tried soccer, he tried baseball but those weren’t his passion. He loved art and then came High School, it was JROTC.
Antonio’s father and I never thought he would want to go anywhere near the military as we had moved so much during his school years (Antonio attended 13 different schools by the time he graduated from High School). He always missed leaving all of his friends behind.
When Antonio applied for college, his interest was ROTC.
Antonio majored in Criminal Justice. However, upon commissioning into the Army he chose Field Artillery. I asked him why and explained to me that he wanted to teach the Afghans to defend themselves.
Antonio completed his six years in the military (by this time he had married/divorced).
Antonio’s best accomplishment he stated was being a father to our beautiful grandson who was born in 2015.
On the evening of October 1st, 2019 we lost our son. We feel broken and miss him every minute of everyday.
