PFC ANDREW JON SHIELDS September 8, 1988 ~ May 31, 2008 Andrew Jon Shields of Battle Ground, WA was killed at the age of 19, in Afghanistan on May 31, 2008 while on a mission.
He was born on September 8, 1988 in Redmond, WA. He was a 2007 graduate of Battle Ground High School, a former CCFD #11 Cadet Battalion Chief, Airborne Combat Medic.
He was awarded Posthumous: Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Medics Badge and Army Good Conduct Medal.
He is survived by: mother, Wendy Campbell; sister, Ryleigh Campbell; father and step-mother, Jon and Carol Shields; grandparents, Beverley Campbell; Stan and Judie Scholes; John and Regina Shields; Bob and Vivian Jones; uncles & aunts, Jodi Shields; John & Jennifer Shields; Garnet and Jodie Lebar; Ren and Kristi Kenny; Ken and Jennifer Scholes; Becky Scholes; Tony Boyd; Chad and Annie Johns; godparents, Bob and Barbara Counts; many cousins and extended family.
